Lobis Luxury Estates specializes in high end luxury vacation rentals in Florida, Colorado and California. Having lived in many of the most exciting major cities -- Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, New York – Jodi can now officially call Delray Beach home after living in Greater Los Angeles ( Westwood, Brentwood, Santa Monica & Pacific Palisades) for over 20 years. She is a seasoned real estate professional with licenses in Florida and California.
After graduating NYU, Jodi embarked on a successful 15-year career as a Director, Entertainment Marketing at such companies as News Corp, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. and The Walt Disney Company. Later, she launched her own promotions company, Strictly Promos, Inc., and while growing her business she bought and sold her own properties in Los Angeles discovering her true passion for real estate. As a 3rd generation Real Estate professional, it was only natural that she would foray into a real estate career.
When not working as part of the Lobis & Associates Luxury Estates team, Jodi can be found with her family of five and two dogs: ‘Bella’ a yellow lab, and 'Layla' (a Golden Retriever) enjoying life in nature and the outdoors hiking and biking, exploring cultural events and the beaches of South Florida. A mother of 3 children under the age of 18, she is extremely passionate about providing her kids with the “best life has to offer and always giving them new opportunities to better themselves and the world around them."
Barbara Sklar
Barbara is an integral part of Lobis Luxury Estates investing with her daughter Jodi in real estate and in running the vacation rental part of the business.
She first ventured into real estate in the early 1980's when interest rates were 16%. When everyone was getting out of real estate, Barbara decided to get in.
A former Dental Hygienist, Barbara ventured into hypnotherapy where she began to use hypnosis to treat dental phobic patients as well as doing hands on healing as a Reiki Master and aromatherapist. Around that time, Barbara began investing in real estate in San Francisco before the tech boom. She then went on to become a major player in commercial real estate, locating retail sites for major chains including Orchard Supply Hardware & Popeye's Chicken.
Her first venture into the vacation rental business came when she opened up her home as a Bed & Breakfast in Venice, CA calling it 'Barbara's Bungalow at the Beach" in the early 2000's. She found the love for providing international travelers with the comforts of home.
A lover of water, Barbara also began a Yacht Charter Business in Marina Del Ray, CA in 2006 in which she entertained thousands of people along the California Coast for over 15 years.
Recently, Barbara moved from Los Angeles to Boca Raton, Florida where enjoys tennis, pickle ball, and her three grandchildren.
